Creating commissions has become one of my favorite aspects of being an artist, and the bulk of my work. I am always honored to create pieces for clients. From selecting compositions to the subject to the size of the piece, I am happy to help in making decisions to help shape the piece. Below are a few commonly asked questions related to commissions:

Where do we start with regard to a commission?

I am always happy to jump on a call or facetime to advise on size, colors and subject matter for any commission. We will solidify colors, style and composition together.

Should I base my commission on a past piece of yours?

Choosing a piece from my previous collections is always a great jumping off point. In addition, if you have a photo of a barn or house that you’d like to honor in the commission that is welcome. Keep in mind that there will be artistic interpretation of the subject at hand. For abstracts, considering layouts from my abstract collections is very helpful.

How long do commissions take?

Usually about 6-8 weeks. If there is a specific deadline for a piece, we can usually make that happen.

Do you send progress photos?

I will send progress photos near the end of the process. From there we can make tweaks as needed.

What do you need to start a commission?

A 50% deposit, sign off on the subject and colors of the piece.
